Composable Finance has developed two new baseline forecasting models to help ensure sufficient liquidity is maintained in Mosaic, our cross-layer transferral system. These models, along with our previous work, will help DeFi users have a seamless experience utilizing assets across scaling solutions.

Mission Statement

The decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem has sought sharded blockchains for increased scalability. As examples, ETH 2.0, Polkadot, and NEAR will be sharded. The result, however, is that even though the vision of ETH 2.0 is already upon us, instead of just blockchains being sharded, applications are being sharded as well…

Our cross-layer transferral system Mosaic is currently in its Proof of Concept phase. Here, we look ahead to the next step of Mosaic: deploying a minimum viable product that users can leverage for moving assets between a multitude of L2s, providing an unprecedented level of opportunity and flexibility in the DeFi space. To support these cross-layer transactions at scale, we also propose a novel bot-based active liquidity provisioning process, as detailed here.

As previously announced, the first phase of Mosaic is a Proof of Concept (PoC), with transfers supported by a passive manner of providing liquidity into a layer 1 (L1) liquidity pool. We will release data based on the performance of our dynamic fee model from the POC as we begin…
